Training
Stride is an approved City and Guilds and National Open College Network training centre. We deliver accredited qualifications from Entry Level to Level 2 in Vocational subjects, Personal Social Development and Functional Skills.
We have a wide variety of customers including:
- Young People aged between 13 - 16 as alternative curricular activities
- 16 - 19 year olds who are not in employment or training
- Young People with learning disabilities
- Long Term Unemployed Individuals
- Holiday play schemes for 10 - 16 year olds
- Adults on evening classes
Stride deliver Foundation Learning which is a nationally recognised programme aimed at 14 - 19 year old learners who are predominantly working at entry level or level 1. Foundation Learning programmes are designed to support progression to one of the three other national suites of provision: Apprenticeships, Diplomas or GCSE/A Levels. For some learners, however, other destinations may be more appropriate, including employment with training, supported employment or independent living.
Strides Foundation Learning programme is a high quality personalised learning route that enables students to participate, achieve and progress. The programme is designed to help students increase their motivation and develop confidence, personal and social skills and raise levels of functional skills.
Whilst on programme students will be reimbursed with their travel expenses and offered a free lunch at our Canteen
We can also offer tailor made group packages for organisations, service providers and schools in and around the East Midlands.
